Design proven, engineered solutions for your next bridge or road project
If you're like most engineers designing highway and bridge projects, you're looking for a retaining wall system that is proven and meticulously engineered. We're here to help. Redi-Rock is a proven precast modular block retaining wall system, created by engineers, for engineers.
Why Choose Redi-Rock for Your Next Transportation Project?
Engineers like you have designed thousands of Redi-Rock projects that have been built on critical roads and bridges around the world since 2000. A ton of resources and testing reports are available to help make designing your walls clear-cut. And the simple, repeatable installation process makes it easy for contractors to install the walls properly.
After Flood, County Chooses Gravity Walls for Emergency Repairs
In September 2013, floods ripped through Boulder County in Colorado, massively damaging the roads. See how engineers design an emergency flood repair retaining wall solution using Redi-Rock gravity walls!

Redi-Rock in Action: Highway & Bridge Case Studies
Two Projects Saved £16 million
Highways England utilized 2.9 kilometers (1.8 miles) of retaining walls to help upgrade 27.5 kilometers (17 miles) of Highways England road network to Smart Motorways. The installation crew was able to install 75 square meters (800 square feet) per day, resulting in massive savings of over 5.6% of the total budget.
Flood Protection + Aesthetics
These Colorado DOT headwalls and wingwalls had exacting demands: aesthetics, flood protection, accommodation of 3 utility lines, and quick construction. Built in compliance with AASHTO and LRFD standards, the quick construction of Redi-Rock allowed the project to complete on time.
Faster than Cast-in-Place
In this I-75 freeway project, Redi-Rock provided a value engineered alternative for faster construction than cast-in-place walls. The diverging diamond interchange required 16 Redi-Rock walls built using Redi-Rock hollow-core blocks, which use 28% less concrete than solid blocks - reducing transportation costs.
Expanded Road, Minimized Right-of-Way
Redi-Rock retaining walls allowed Lacey, Washington to minimize right-of-way requirements, meet the seismic code, provide an aesthetic solution, and do so in a cost-effective manner. Redi-Rock gravity walls also minimized the footprint of the road widening project, while also protecting the lake.
$40,000 Savings on Abutments
Hamilton County, Ohio saved $40,000 by choosing Redi-Rock XL over cast-in-place walls for tall abutments due to reduced labor requirements. Work progressed despite freezing temperatures, saving weeks on construction.
Faster Than Panel Walls
This highway realignment project in Estonia originally specified mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) panels for the bridge abutments, but was value engineered with Redi-Rock. In spite of design challenges, the project was still completed 4 weeks ahead of schedule.
